Gallagher Security beefs up UK sales
29 August 2019
A GLOBAL security giant has beefed up its UK and Europe sales team with the two appointments boasting 33 years of industry experience between them.
Gallagher Security has hired Matt Jones as business development manager (BDM) for London and the South East and Steve Natton, who takes on a technical BDM role.
Jones arrives from FLIR, where he worked in a similar role for six years after first cutting his teeth at Norbain for 14 years.
His focus is on gaining a deep understanding of customers’ challenges in sectors from universities to commercial premises to top end security for Government facilities and data centres.
He says, “For instance, access control is about so much more than just opening and closing doors and can add real business value by creating a more efficient operation with continuity built in.”
Jones is a member of the Security Institute and London Chamber of Commerce. He is married with two children, living in Crowthorne, and enjoys golf and cricket, for which he has a coaching qualification.
Natton, meanwhile, will support Gallagher’s BDMs in the north across both its access and perimeter portfolios.
He is intent on growing Gallagher’s channel partner network to bring on more end user customers.
He is an affiliate member of the Security Institute, is studying for level 5 BTEC on security management and security network design and will be delivering CPD to architects as Gallagher seeks to become specified on projects.
Jones says, “I thrive on building close, long-lasting relationships with customers, ensuring each and every one has access to my experience, technical knowledge and innovative thinking. I want them to think of me as their trusted adviser.”
He has been in the security industry for 13 years, with Videx Security and working for government, specialising in integrated access control solutions, audio & visual systems.
