Trio of seminar theatres to deliver key CPD content at The Fire Safety Event
28 June 2021
THE FIRE Safety Event is set to be the first major exhibition to take place in the sector this year when the Nineteen Group-organised show opens its doors on 7-9 September at the NEC in Birmingham.
The Fire Safety Event last ran in 2019. The show was necessarily postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it’s all set to be the largest trade show to run in the fire sector with more than 120 exhibitors already booked and announced.
Dedicated to supporting industry practitioners, professionals and organisations in achieving and maintaining the very highest standards of fire safety management, The Fire Safety Event showcases the latest products, technology and solutions. It’s the perfect opportunity for visitors to gain direct insight into improving business protection, fire safety resilience and business continuity.
Education is at the very heart of The Fire Safety Event. The show boasts three industry-led theatres and offers 45-plus hours of free-to-attend, Continuing Professional Development-accredited content. Delegates are afforded direct insight into how they can maintain, improve and continually champion fire safety.
Sponsored by Advanced, The Fire Safety Theatre covers challenging and critical topics surrounding fire safety management. Discussion and debate-driven, the insightful seminar sessions will include a high-profile and detailed look at the new Fire Safety Act (delivered by a representative from the Home Office), a mock trial based on a real fire safety prosecution (orchestrated by Pinsent Masons LLP) and a round table discussion on the implications of the proposed Building Safety Bill with insight from leading industry bodies including the Fire Protection Association, the Fire Sector Federation and the Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP).
Content in The Tall Buildings Theatre (sponsored in 2021 by Safety Chair) is curated by the ASFP and ideal for anyone who has responsibility for managing fire safety in tall and high-rise buildings. Improve your knowledge base, join discussions and offer your views in thought-provoking debates that will help you to improve your approach towards passive fire protection. Seminars on offer are set to focus on fire safety legislation post-Grenfell, Best Practice for compartmentation and firestopping, managing high-rise fire safety, the Building Safety Bill, the impact of modern methods of construction on building fire safety and more.
Run in partnership with the National Security Inspectorate (NSI), The Fire and Security Installer Theatre is dedicated specifically to the needs of fire and security installers and integrators and provide important industry updates and guidance for practitioners and business owners alike.
With a focus on standards, regulation and industry Best Practice, the sessions on offer in The Fire and Security Installer Theatre will be vital towards ensuring that businesses remain compliant and are best equipped to meet the needs of their clients going forward.
Biggest names in fire safety
The Fire Safety Event is going to host the biggest UK brands in fire safety including Apollo Fire Detectors, Aico, Advanced, C-TEC, Kingspan, Honeywell, Eaton, EMS, Fike, FireClass, Safety Technology International (Europe), Patol, FireVu and more.
After 18 months of no face-to-face meetings, the exhibition will provide a fundamental platform for companies to showcase product developments, launch the latest solutions to market and also conduct physical demonstrations.
A number of key association and industry bodies are supporting The Fire Safety Event and will be on hand to offer guidance and information to visitors. They include the Fire and Security Association, the Association for Specialist Fire Protection, the National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers, the Fire Protection Association, the Smoke Control Association, the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, the Institution of Fire Engineers, BAFE, the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board, the NSI and the Independent Fire Engineering and Distributors Association.
The Fire Safety Event is uniquely co-located with The Security Event, The Health and Safety Event, The Facilities Event, The Emergency Services Show and the newly-launched National Cyber Security Show which, taken together, form The Safety and Security Series.
Only need to register once, delegates can then visit all six events spanning over 54,000 square metres of floor space. These events are the biggest of their kind in the UK, at which visitors can gain access to over 900 exhibitors, 40 feature areas and, therefore, one unmissable opportunity. The appetite for the return of physical events is clear with over 27,000 delegates having already registered to attend across the entire Safety and Security Series.
In another ‘first’, these events will now offer free parking on site at the NEC, further enforcing the widely-held belief that this venue is the most accessible for any event in the fire and security sector with a train station and airport on site and the M42 motorway close by for road travel.
