Michael Clatworthy appointed specification sales manager at Vox Ignis
08 March 2026
GLOBAL VOICE alarm, emergency voice communication (EVC) and safety alarm business Vox Ignis has announced the appointment of Michael Clatworthy as the company’s new specification sales manager.
Having accumulated a decade’s worth of experience in the fire systems business development arena, Clatworthy will now manage Vox Ignis’ service to specifiers across the UK, focusing in particular on the company’s Unicorn Voice PAVA, Lexicomm EVC, AssistCallPro safety alarms, the AquaCall water leak detection system, DoorCall exit alarms and the InEvac Martyn’s Law-centred solution.
Originally from Cape Town, and now a long-time resident of the UK, Clatworthy studied in Glasgow before starting his career in technology systems sales and support and then moving into the fire industry.
Jeremy Kirkup, sales director at Sunderland-based Vox Ignis, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Michael to the company. Specification is a critical part of our commercial operation to which we are committing significant resources. We’re growing quickly with sales across our portfolio, notably so for our Unicorn Voice integrated PAVA and EVC system, and with new products in our safety alarm portfolio now very close to launch, and growing demand for our lockdown and evacuation solutions, these are exciting times for everyone who works with Vox Ignis.”
Commenting on his new role, Clatworthy observed: “I’m delighted to join Vox Ignis. I’ve known about the company and worked with its products for many years. It’s a real privilege to join a thriving UK manufacturer with a high-quality product range and outstanding R&D. The business is committed to the highest standards and Best Practice. Vox Ignis offers specifiers and end users significant advantages. I’m really looking forward to building links with the specification community.”
Designed and manufactured in the UK and sold under the Vox Ignis and leading OEM brands worldwide, all products within the portfolio amplify the safety of millions of people and buildings every day.
