Promat appoints architectural specification manager to support demand
20 December 2024
PASSIVE FIRE protection specialist Promat has appointed a new architectural specification manager for the North and Midlands in order to broaden the company’s support capacity in the region as demand grows. Martin Wrigley joins the team to work in the region alongside Harvey Brown, who has recently taken the position of national specification manager.

With passive fire protection now needing to be specified at the design stage according to the Building Safety Act 2022, the demand for architectural and specification support has increased.
With a successful track record in technical specification, Wrigley will now work to support architects, specifiers, contractors and developers when specifying passive fire protection systems, manage contractor and vendor relationships and ensure clear communication among all key project stakeholders.
Holding the Institution of Fire Engineers’ Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection and bringing a vast knowledge of fire safety systems in the construction industry to bear, Wrigley’s experience will compliment Promat’s offer.
Knowledge and instruction
Commenting on the new role, Wrigley said: “Promat boasts an impressive suite of market-leading systems. I’m looking forward to continuing the work the business has been doing to demonstrate its products’ capabilities to new and existing clients.”
Wrigley added: “The Building Safety Act 2022 has increased demand for knowledge and instruction around passive fire protection solutions. Support being made available in the chain from the manufacturer upwards is absolutely vital for protecting both new and refurbished buildings.”
Promat’s technical director Nigel Morrey added: “The team at Promat is dedicated to providing customers with a highly detailed level of support. Competency demonstrated through experience as well as recognised qualifications. Martin’s vast industry expertise will be an asset to the specification team in the North and the Midlands.”
