Kenny Pang appointed head of product at Hyfire

KENNY PANG has joined the team at wireless fire systems developer Hyfire in the role of head of product. Pang boasts two decades’ worth of experience in the sector having operated within both technical and commercial functions and is keen to apply his expertise for the benefit of the business and its customers.

Born in Portsmouth, Pang gained his degree in electronic communication systems from the University of Plymouth. He began his career at Apollo Fire Detectors, itself a sister company of Hyfire wjthin the Halma plc stable, in the post of product development engineer before advancing to become head of global business development.
“What attracted me to Hyfire is the company’s innovative approach to dynamic solutions,” enthused Pang. “I believe this role will further strengthen my fire safety knowledge and allow me to engage with leading-edge wireless Taurus technology. Wireless technology is undoubtedly the future.”
As head of product, Pang aims to leverage his extensive experience to enhance and expand the product management function within the UK market. Ultimately, his goal includes integrating new technologies to advance fire safety practices within the industry.
Reflecting on Hyfire’s global expansion and commitment to accessibility, Pang emphasised: “Hyfire’s international growth resonates deeply with me, given my Hong Kong heritage and experiences in developing countries. I’m passionate about making life-saving technology universally accessible.”
He continued: “Hyfire has always enjoyed strong relationships with installers, consultants and end users so I’m really keen to understand their pain-points and drive new products and solutions which will make a real difference.”
Further, Pang noted: “Technology is moving at such a rapid pace and notably so in terms of digital, Artificial Intelligence, sensing and wireless technology. This tech has the potential to be a real game-changer for the industry.”
