Hochiki spotlights Latitude and FIREscape Nepto at Intersec 2024
01 January 2024
HOCHIKI – THE specialist designer, manufacturer and distributor of state-of-the-art fire detection and emergency lighting systems – will be in attendance at Intersec 2024. The company’s regional team, which is based in Dubai, will be on hand to demonstrate Hochiki’s Latitude fire detection system and also the emergency lighting system designated FIREscape Nepto.

For many of Hochiki’s customers, Latitude sits at the core of their safety systems. The platform is favoured worldwide due to its powerful networking capabilities, its modular hardware – which is configurable for multiple applications – and ‘cause and effect’-centred programming capabilities.
Sophisticated enough to operate in multiple languages, Latitude works across a diverse range of applications: from schools and hospitals through to skyscrapers filled with thousands of office workers, apartment blocks and entertainment venues, cultural, commercial and manufacturing spaces as well as international travel ports, hotels and logistics hubs.
The system has been designed to be simple to configure and easy to use thanks to touchscreen technology with a graphical user interface that assists in displaying vital information. Latitude is UL, FM and EN approved and recently achieved BOSEC approval, adding to its existing EN 54 Part 13 approval and the acquisition of Denmark’s prestigious DBI certification.
FIREscape Nepto
At the 2023 edition of Intersec, the Hochiki team exclusively revealed its (then) all-new emergency lighting system, namely FIREscape Nepto.
Back for the 2024 event, the team will be on hand to demonstrate FIREscape Nepto’s key features such as its intelligent self-contained LED luminaires and exit signage connected via screened, extra-low voltage (I 40 V) cabling.
Integral batteries featuring a ten-year lifespan render installation and maintenance of the FIREscape Nepto system quick, easy and appealing for contracted installation engineers. As the whole system is networkable, fully self-monitoring and self-testing with a central point of control, fire and security teams around the world rate it as one of the best on the market.
Commenting on attending the event, Hemanth Kumar (Hochiki’s general manager for the Middle East region) said: “We’re thrilled to be exhibiting at Intersec and kick-starting what will be an exciting 2024 for Hochiki’s customers. We very much look forward to welcoming customers old and new at this year's event.”
