FireAngel appoints Nick Atkinson in national account manager role
27 November 2025
FIREANGEL, THE manufacturer of smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms, has strengthened its wholesaler focus through the appointment of national account manager Nick Atkinson, who has joined the business to drive engagement with national and independent wholesalers across the UK.
Atkinson brings a wealth of trade experience in the electrical wholesale and distribution sector, having held senior roles at several major industry brands. With an extensive background in national account development, sales leadership and contractor engagement, he has built a strong reputation for helping trade wholesalers grow market share, while supporting installers with the tools, training and products required to deliver compliant and professional installations.
In his role at FireAngel, Atkinson oversees FireAngel’s nationwide approach to trade wholesaler engagement, ensuring branch managers and branch teams have visibility of the full breadth of FireAngel’s solutions, including Specification Grade D1 alarms, connected Internet of Things solutions and patented technologies. FireAngel is already a familiar name within electrical distribution.
Tailored training
Atkinson currently leads a team of regional area managers who cover the UK, with plans to invest in the team still further and expand to strengthen regional support. This field-based expertise will help wholesalers across the UK to stay ahead of evolving legislation, access tailored training and Continuing Professional Development, provide compliance and certified safety products and improve their confidence when advising installers at the counter.
Welcoming Atkinson to FireAngel aligns with the company’s wider investment in training and professional development. Going forward, he will be instrumental in driving adoption of the FireAngel Approved Stockist Scheme, which connects wholesalers directly with FireAngel’s rapidly growing Pro Installer Network. Approved Stockists benefit from lead referrals, increased visibility, enhanced training and marketing support as well as access to FireAngel’s free, insured BAFE-certified Design Service, helping them strengthen recurring sales and support fully compliant installations.
Supported and informed
Speaking about his new role, Nick Atkinson said: “Having spent years working within electrical wholesale and alongside contractors, I know how important it is for wholesalers to feel supported, confident and fully informed. FireAngel is a company with an outstanding reputation, not only for its technology, but also for the way in which it supports the wider industry through training, design services and its work with the Fire and Rescue Service.”
Atkinson added: “My focus is to ensure that wholesalers understand the full scope of what FireAngel can offer and feel genuinely empowered to help installers work confidently to the latest standards. I’m looking forward to building strong partnerships and driving the next phase of FireAngel’s growth across the wholesaler channel.”
