Apollo expands EPD portfolio to support sustainable specification

01 September 2026

APOLLO FIRE Detectors has just published three new independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), in turn making additional lifecycle data available for more of the company’s extensive product range.

The declarations offer greater transparency around environmental performance and support sustainability assessments across the built environment.

These new additions join Apollo’s existing portfolio of EPDs covering its Soteria heat, optical smoke and multi-sensor detector range, further extending the availability of transparent and comprehensive environmental data across the company’s product catalogue.

The three product ranges now covered by Apollo EPDs are as follows:

*XP95 DIN Rail Mini Switch Monitor Module

*Soteria Dimension Optical Smoke Detector (including the Soteria Dimension Backbox)

*XPERT 8 Mounting Base range

As embodied carbon becomes a more important consideration across the built environment, fire detection products are increasingly being included in lifecycle assessments.

Historically, environmental data for life safety systems has been limited, making it somewhat difficult for project teams to accurately evaluate their impact. By expanding its EPD portfolio, Apollo aims to assist in closing that gap and enable customers to make better and evidence-based sustainability decisions.
