Apollo enhances installer experience thanks to Digital Installation Guides
01 April 2026
AS PART of the company’s ongoing commitment to improve the installer experience and reduce environmental impact, Apollo Fire Detectors has been quietly evolving how product information is delivered. Many of Apollo’s most widely used devices, including the Discovery Base Sounder and the Soteria Base Sounder range, now feature QR code access to Digital Installation Guides.

This shift has already helped to reduce over 250,000 printed pages in the past year for the Discovery and Soteria Base Sounder ranges alone. That’s the equivalent of saving around 30 trees or avoiding the carbon emissions of driving a petrol car from London to Edinburgh and back nearly ten times.
The benefits extend well beyond sustainability and the change is about more than just going paperless. The Digital Installation Guides offer a range of benefits:
*designed for mobile: zoom-in on diagrams and wiring details with ease
*quick to navigate: search instead of flipping through pages
*always current: no risk of outdated printed instructions
*supports multiple languages and formats for better accessibility
*reduces paper waste and supports Apollo’s sustainability commitments
Trusted choices
The Discovery Base Sounder and Soteria Base Sounder Visual Indicators continue to be trusted choices across a wide range of installations. With digital guides now standard, they’re even easier to install and support in the field.
Apollo will continue to expand this approach across its product portfolio, in turn ensuring that documentation is as modern and accessible as the devices it supports.
Scan the QR code on the Apollo product packaging and experience the difference. ‘Scan. Zoom. Install. It’s that simple’.
