Antonio Telesca appointed managing director at Advanced

Hailing originally from Italy, Telesca’s professional journey has led him to work and reside in multiple countries including Holland, France, Finland and Indonesia. This has equipped him with valuable cross-cultural insight that will be instrumental in steering Advanced’s global business expansion.

The new role will see Telesca based close to Advanced’s headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he has relocated with his family.

Telesca began his career in aeronautical engineering, where he honed his technical skills and developed a deep understanding of complex systems. He later transitioned into roles in the lighting, fire detection and emergency lighting industries, where he held progressively senior positions in project, R&D, operations and general management, including successful stints contributing to the strategic growth of multinationals Philips and Schneider Electric.

During his career, Telesca has gained an in-depth understanding of product value, supply chains, customer needs and the successful delivery of products, systems and solutions to market. This strong track record in international business growth and transformation was most recently exemplified by his stewardship of a large manufacturing unit in Indonesia.

In the role of managing director at Advanced, Telesca is poised to harness his enthusiasm, dedication and determination to inspire the company’s team members, foster innovation and enhance customer experiences.

Telesca’s comprehensive business perspective, coupled with an innate ability to align technical prowess with business strategy, will form a key part of the company’s continued success.
