Martin Phillips appointed trade product manager at FireAngel
10 March 2023
FIREANGEL, THE developer of smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms, has appointed Martin Phillips in the role of trade product manager to further expand the company’s product development capabilities and support installers in fulfilling the increasing demands placed on them by the UK’s housing sector.
In his new role, Phillips will be responsible for enhancing FireAngel’s long-standing commitment to providing electrical contractors serving the UK’s housing market with innovative alarms that deliver the highest possible standards of detection, functionality and usability.
With over 25 years’ experience gained in senior product roles throughout the electrical engineering sector, Phillips will now be applying his extensive knowledge in product development and application to support FireAngel in accelerating its product development journey throughout 2023.
This includes working in partnership with FireAngel’s operations and development divisions to bring together the highest standards of software and hardware and achieve compliant alarm systems that provide first-class protection and end user experience.
Certified products
Speaking about his appointment, Phillips stated: “It’s a very exciting time to be joining the team here at FireAngel. As a customer-centric business, we are committed to understanding exactly what our customers require before designing and developing certified products that add real value.”
Phillips continued: “While ensuring standalone alarms continue to seamlessly transition with connectivity, we are also dedicated to incorporating environmental sensing technologies into our system solutions to address external environmental factors, such as damp and mould. This is an issue that has been made all the more prevalent by fuel poverty, so it’s imperative that we build the necessary requirements into our product development and provide installers and their customers with all-round protection.”
Technology patents
With over 80 technology patents held in-house, members of FireAngel’s R&D team specialise in the design and manufacture of both standalone and connected smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms that feature the latest innovations to make leading edge technology simple and accessible for all.
FireAngel’s products and solutions are developed with future legislation and requirements in mind to support professionals in achieving the highest possible standards when it comes to protection and compliance.
