FIA and Nineteen Group forge strategic partnership to elevate standards
12 August 2024
THE FIRE Industry Association (FIA), the UK’s largest Trade Association for the fire protection sector, has formed a strategic partnership with Nineteen Group, organiser of The Fire Safety Event (for which Fire Safety Matters serves as Lead Media Partner). This collaboration with The Fire Safety Event aims to embolden fire safety standards, drive innovation and foster enhanced professional development across the UK.

Making its debut at The Fire Safety Event 2025 is The Guidance Theatre, which is being organised, curated and run by the FIA. Attendees will gain access to the latest thought-provoking insights on fire protection as well as detail on cutting-edge devices, essential services and advanced apparatus.
Showcasing interactive workshops, The Guidance Theatre offers immersive, hands-on learning experiences designed to enhance fire safety knowledge. It’s an excellent opportunity for practitioners to engage with industry experts and elevate their fire protection expertise. Live interactive demonstrations will offer inspiration and underpin Best Practice in the fire sector.
Looking to the future of fire safety training, the FIA will be setting new standards by unveiling an exclusive Training Hub dedicated to helping today’s organisations address all of their fire safety needs and bridge any gaps in expertise within their fire safety practices through expert-led sessions.
An exclusive networking reception will also be hosted by the FIA. Visitors to The Fire Safety Event, which runs at the NEC in Birmingham from 8-10 April, can develop strategic alliances with influential FIA members.
Advancing fire safety
Ian Moore, CEO of the FIA, remarked: “Our strategic partnership with Nineteen Group marks a significant step forward in our mission to advance fire safety. By pooling our resources and expertise, we can offer unparalleled value to our members and the wider fire industry, driving forward the fire safety agenda and ensuring a safer community for all.”
Tristan Norman, Group director at Nineteen Group, added: “This collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to enhancing fire safety both here in the UK and on the global stage. The FIA’s dedication to increasing standards in the fire protection sector, coupled with our market-leading event, will combine to create impactful initiatives that serve the entire fire safety community.”
The FIA and Nineteen Group partnership underscores a shared commitment to excellence in fire safety and protection. This collaboration promises to deliver lasting benefits, most notably by fostering a safer, more resilient society.
Further, the FIA will bolster its support for Nineteen Group by having a presence at the latter’s other industry-relevant events including the Emergency Services Show and London Build Expo.
