Coopers Fire details monthly CPD seminar series concentrating on fire curtains

04 March 2021

COOPERS FIRE has organised a series of monthly Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminars to be delivered via the Zoom platform. The seminars are focused on fire curtains and when and where such a solution should be specified in the built environment.

The CPD seminars are designed for architects, building surveyors, fire engineers, building control officers, specifiers, members of the Fire and Rescue Services as well as other fire and construction professionals involved across the specification chain. Each online event is free to attend and will last for one hour, including circa 15 minutes at the end of each presentation for a Q&A session.

The next event takes place on Thursday 18 March from noon until 1.00 pm. Subsequent seminars are scheduled to run at the same time on Thursday 15 April, Thursday 20 May and Thursday 17 June.

Importantly, Coopers Fire is the only smoke and fire curtain manufacturer with approval from the RIBA to provide CPD seminars.

A recent testimonial received from Building Control at Liverpool City Council in relation to these webinars reads: “The Coopers Fire fire curtain CPD session was very topical considering the industry’s focus on fire protection. It provided an overview of the installation and operation of passive fire protection measures such as fire curtains with reference to the design standards, where they should be used and how they perform. The session included a variety of Case Studies showing various products in use and provided the opportunity to ask questions. Well worth an hour of your time.”
