Fire safety solutions from C-TEC on show at FIREX International

On Stand FI2010, C-TEC will be exhibiting a host of innovative solutions designed to enhance fire safety in high-rise buildings. Among them will be EVAC-ALERT, a new BS 8629 evacuation alert system, and also Hush, the BS 5839-6 Grade C domestic fire system.

Also on display and under discussion are CAST, C-TEC’s powerful own-protocol fire system, and Envision, the latter being a new cloud-based fire alarm remote access, service and site management software package.

Andy Scott, C-TEC’s project director (and chair of the British Standards Institution’s FSH/12/5 committee focused on alarm devices, voice alarm evacuation sub-systems and emergency voice communications), will be delivering a seminar on BS 8629-controlled evacuation in FIREX International’s Expertise and Guidance Theatre.

A recognised expert in the field of fire safety, Scott will also present a paper on integrated commercial and residential fire alarm technology and participate in the ‘Is ‘Stay Put’ Still Valid?’ debate taking place at the seventh International Tall Building Fire Safety Conference, which runs alongside the show.
