Aico signals “groundbreaking” collaboration with The Guinness Partnership
14 October 2024
SHROPSHIRE-BASED home fire and life safety concern Aico is now collaborating with The Guinness Partnership, itself one of the largest affordable housing providers in the UK. This collaboration focuses on enhancing the Health and Safety and energy efficiency of properties across the South West of England through the implementation of Aico’s HomeLINK environmental monitoring system.

The Guinness Partnership is committed to improve the living conditions and well-being of its residents by embracing advanced technology to monitor key environmental factors, among them temperature, humidity and CO2 levels. By working with Aico, The Guinness Partnership will introduce smart sensors and data analytics to ensure proactive property maintenance and healthier environments for all residents.
As part of the initiative, both Aico and The Guinness Partnership will engage with residents through educational sessions and workshops, ensuring they understand the system and its benefits. This collaborative approach is key to achieving The Guinness Partnership’s goals.
Future of social housing
This partnership “represents a milestone” in the use of technology within social housing. By adopting Aico’s HomeLINK system, The Guinness Partnership is setting a new standard for proactive property management and resident well-being. The success of this initiative in the South West sets a precedent for future projects, showcasing the transformative power of innovative solutions designed to meet evolving social housing challenges.
The success of this collaboration is also attributed to the leadership and expertise involved.
Expertise and dedication
Tim Lewry, regional head of service at The Guinness Partnership, observed: “Our collaboration with Aico on the HomeLINK system has been nothing short of exceptional. Steve Bulley’s expertise and dedication have been instrumental in making this project a reality. His influence in social housing across the UK cannot be overstated.”
