Training courses take to the road
24 September 2018
DETECTORTESTERS TESTING and Maintenance of Fire Detection Systems’ course has proved extremely popular and as a result, the firm has announced that it's taking the training on the road.

The first on-the-road sessions will take place in Blackburn and Liversedge in November and will be co-hosted by Acorn Fire & Security and Safety Fire Solutions (SFS). Addressing the codes and standards relevant to testing, the course will consider the types of fire detection installed, the options available for functional testing and how these test solutions should be used for optimum performance and compliance. Detectortesters technical support, Paul Gatens, will continue to deliver these free sessions, which will take place within the offices of Acorn Fire & Security and SFS.
Course objectives include defining ‘competency’ and ‘responsibility’ as part of the FSO, BS:5839-1 2017 updates – including the testing of multi-sensor detectors, introduction to solo, testifire and scorpion products, operation of test solutions, tips and tricks for optimum usage, working at height and product support
The course is equally suitable for those who are new to the industry and experienced fire professionals who are looking to keep pace with latest trends.
Places are limited and, as a free course, they are expecting high demand. For more information, visit www.detectortesters.com
