SMAY Ventilation Systems outlines plans for The Fire Safety Event
04 March 2024
SMAY VENTILATION Systems – the Polish provider of comprehensive ventilation and fire protection solutions that was established some 35 years ago – is taking part in The Fire Safety Event 2024, which runs at the NEC in Birmingham from 30 April-2 May (and for which Fire Safety Matters is once again serving as Lead Media Partner).
The company’s products include fire dampers as well as smoke control vents and systems, with pressure differential systems also very much part of the mix. Read ‘Under pressurisation’ by accessing the digital version of the November 2023 edition of Fire Safety Matters. Turn to The Last Word on pp65-66 for a comprehensive explanation of these systems expertly delivered by Izabela Tekielak-Skalka, head of research and the CFD Analysis Department at SMAY Ventilation Systems.
Scientists have asserted that, by experiencing something first-hand, individuals can remember circa 70% of that event for anything up to two years. That being the case, attendees at the NEC are encouraged to visit SMAY Ventilation Systems on Stand 127 in Hall 5 at The Fire Safety Event.
As part of the seminar programme in the Innovation and Compliance Theatre (sponsored by the British Standards Institution and curated by the Nineteen Group, organiser of The Fire Safety Event), SMAY Ventilation Systems’ David Fitzpatrick (general manager for the UK operation and a special guest on Episode 36 of the Fire Safety Matters Podcast) and international business development manager Radek Sikorski will be delivering a 30-minute presentation on 30 April beginning at 11.10 am.
When considering smoke protection solutions for stairwells, it’s rare that any association is made with an ‘intelligent’ system. Running under the banner ‘How Does Pressurisation Help to Achieve the Building Safety Act’s Goals (Particularly in High-Rise Buildings)? Designing Out the Old Myths’, this presentation is a journey through pressure differential systems underpinned by design Case Studies. Delegates will be able to discover how these systems make a significant contribution to building safety worldwide.
On Stand A127, representatives from SMAY Ventilation Systems invite attendees at the NEC to “witness and experience the power of pressurisation”.
