Fire safety planning business QDOS relocates headquarters to Rochdale
16 July 2021
QDOS, THE BAFE-accredited outsourcing CAD company specialising in the production of fire alarm and fire safety plans for buildings, has expanded by moving to a new head office based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Boasting nearly 3000 square feet of space, QDOS plans to use its new headquarters to realise a more open work environment, as well as deliver focused training and also Continuing Professional Development events for industry professionals.
Many fire alarm companies don’t have the luxury of a CAD Department, or their CAD team is so busy that an increasing number of systems might be installed without recorded drawings or plans. This is where QDOS steps in.
The company can produce fire alarm zone plans, system layout and fire safety drawings, realise fire alarm system designs and produce fire escape plans.
Managing director Damian Linley informed Fire Safety Matters: “I’m very proud of what QDOS has achieved, and especially so over the last 12 months. Our team members have always remained committed to delivering compliant plans, continuously improving the quality of the work they produce and enhancing the delivery of the products and services we offer to our clients.”
Linley continued: “By moving to occupy a new open plan office, we can collaborate with all staff members in ways that we haven’t been able to in times gone by. The convenience and accessibility of the new office’s location will be ideal for future client visits, all new employees and the delivery of training.”
Joining the industry in 1996 as a trainee CAD operator at Shorrock Fire, Linley continued his professional development in system design to become an operations manager based in Leeds. He started QDOS in 2009. Linley has extensive knowledge of British Standards for fire alarm systems.
