OWS Fire Rated forges new strategic alliance with Vert Projects division Pyrostyle
28 February 2022
OWS FIRE Rated has announced the details of a new strategic alliance with Pyrostyle, itself a business division of Vert Projects, which is specifically designed to offer customers fire-rated internal doors and screens from Tuesday 1 March 2022. Having worked together on several projects over recent years, this move is viewed as a natural progression for the two companies.

The collaboration will support OWS Fire Rated’s ongoing development, with Pyrostyle’s products complementing the former’s existing aluminium systems.
As part of the new arrangement, the estimating, manufacturing and installation of Pyrostyle’s products will all be handled by OWS Fire Rated, with existing staff transferring to retain product development and technical support.
Matthew Potter, joint managing director at OWS Fire Rated, explained to Fire Safety Matters: “The partnership with Pyrostyle is an important step forward for our business. As a genuine fire-rated glazing specialist, we’ve been looking to expand our internal product range to better serve the fit-out sector. Our Aluprof and Reynaers systems are great products, but it’s fair to state that the more slender steel profiles of the Pyrostyle range certainly enhance our offer.”
Duncan Field, managing director at Pyrostyle, added: “We’re excited about the fact that OWS Fire Rated will take Pyrostyle to the next level by offering more flexible fire-rated glazing solutions for the marketplace. The Pyrostyle and OWS Fire Rated product lines do complement each other exceptionally well, offering current and prospective clients a wider range of fire-rated systems.”
OWS Fire Rated’s products include fixed screens, glazed doors and curtain walling for a variety of internal and external applications in both new build and refurbishment projects. Levels of protection from E30 up to EI120 are available.
