New features and additional products for SmartCell unveiled by EMS

19 July 2021

THE 100% WIRELESS SmartCell platform from EMS, launched at the end of last year, will benefit from new devices to be launched in the coming weeks. This coincides with an important and significant firmware update that expands the system to use up to 32 fire detectors. This increases the system significantly with an additional 32 addresses to add Call Points, sounders and EN54-23 VADs along with SmartCell information devices.

The already comprehensive range will now include remote indicators and the option of specifying red or white flash for the visual EN54-23 devices. The upcoming release of the SmartDoor wireless door controller ensures that SmartCell is “the most comprehensive and connected system available” for small and mid-range applications involving up to 64 devices.

The exclusive Smart Services option affords end users and service companies instant information on SmartCell via texts and e-mails, along with remote connectivity and the benefits to be realised from the EMS advanced configuration software.

Using SmartCell to protect life and property also gives access to activity on many site services and products by using the site information monitor. This connects locally to, for example, toxic gas detection, flood detection or perhaps the monitoring of mains power to heating or cooling. Data is then sent wirelessly to SmartCell, generating an information alert along with texts and e-mails to programmed numbers/users for action as appropriate.

All of these features benefit from EMS wireless technology. SmartCell is available via the SmartCell distribution network across the UK and Europe.
