NAPIT celebrates 30th Anniversary with training course discounts for members

15 February 2022

THE NATIONAL Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) is celebrating the organisation’s 30th Anniversary this year and, as a result, offering discounted rates on training courses for members to mark the provision of three decades of technical excellence across the electrical inspection and testing environment.

Founded back in 1992, the NAPIT has served as the voice for tradespeople throughout the last three decades. As part of the anniversary celebrations, the organisation is offering discounts to members and customers every month.

As reported by Fire Safety Matters, the launch of BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 (Amendment 2 of the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s 18th Edition Wiring Regulations) is due in March. To coincide with this, the  NAPIT is offering a 30% discount on Amendment 2 training courses.

There are three training options for Amendment 2: classroom, virtual and Online. Course dates start in April and candidates can book now to take advantage of the 30% discount on the list price.

Looking back, Frank Bertie (NAPIT’s chair), said: “Having helped to establish the organisation in 1992, it’s a great privilege to look back on the achievements and progress made within the industry over the last 30 years. I’m very proud of our award-winning technical publications, Continuing Professional Development events and webinars, all of which support the advancement of knowledge within the sector.”

Bertie added: “Our commitment to industry committees for the improvement of electrical safety standards remains at our core, from initiating the Electrical Safety Round Table in 2012 through to contributing heavily to Government Working Groups and actively developing the evolution of BS 7671 and the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification.”

In conclusion, Bertie observed: “As we prepare for the implementation of the new standards in BS 7671, we’re excited to announce our monthly offers to the industry which support the advancement of knowledge, understanding and awareness of changes and new opportunities within the electrical sector.”
