Bull Products introduces SiteGate for enhanced workforce management
30 September 2024
BULL PRODUCTS, the provider of temporary fire protection solutions for the construction industry, has launched SiteGate: an innovative, cloud-based workforce management and access control system.

The SiteGate turnstiles allow for easier, but controlled access to site, for either workers with equipment or visitors. These turnstiles work in combination with the SiteGate cloud-based platform, which itself is centred around three core software modules: Workforce Management, Online Induction and Delivery Management.
By supplying valuable data concerning individual or networked sites, SiteGate is designed to streamline operations, enhance security and optimise time and cost efficiencies for construction and development projects of all sizes. It’s fully wireless and “integrates seamlessly” with Bull Products’ SiteNet and SiteProtect ranges of wireless fire detection and alarm systems.
“We’re delighted to introduce SiteGate, which is a comprehensive solution addressing the evolving needs of construction sites and development projects,” commented Carl Leeson, head of sales at Bull Products. “Using SiteGate, organisations can elevate their workforce management practices, enhance operational efficiencies and strengthen security protocols, ultimately driving success and growth.”
Leeson added: “As well as delivering a sophisticated workforce management system, we have carefully considered the needs of our customers before, during and after installation. Introducing SiteGate to our product portfolio provides our customers with one partner for fire and access control, thereby simplifying the purchasing process. It’s an integral element of our Fire 360° service.”
Rob Kemp, business development manager for workforce management and access control solutions at Bull Products, observed: “Having been lucky enough to be involved in the latter stages of our solutions development, I’m very excited to finally begin speaking to existing and new clients to show what the full system can offer. We wanted to ensure that SiteGate matches the high standards exhibited by the company and which our clients expect, particularly when considering the fact that this system can integrate with the EN 54-certified SiteNet range as well as SiteProtect.”
Data access on one platform
SiteGate can be networked such that end users can then access data across multiple sites from a single platform. The software is permissions-based, meaning that access can be restricted to certain data fields, ensuring General Data Protection Regulation compliance.
SiteGate may be customised to the client’s request and can incorporate that client’s branding in order to create a personalised set-up.
As an online platform and with the relevant login information, SiteGate can be accessed from anywhere and across multiple sites in the UK on a configurable dashboard. This allows an induction to be completed prior to operatives arriving on site, in turn speeding up the induction process.
In addition, live data may be accessed via login screens and media screens, with the ability to create zoned areas whereby varying levels of access are required.
Core software modules
SiteGate’s three core software modules include:
Workforce Management
Empowering organisations with tools such as reporting on time and attendance, competency management, carbon footprint and performance analytics. This ensures “seamless” co-ordination and productivity optimisation during the construction phase
Online Induction
Simplifying the onboarding process with a user-friendly online induction. Equipped with interactive onboarding materials, assessments and documentation management, the software ensures compliance and accelerates the integration of new operatives into the workplace
SiteGate’s pre-enrolment configuration capabilities allow businesses to create fully site-specific online inductions configurable to each site’s bespoke requirements. Elements of the data capture can be made mandatory in order to ensure that operatives complete and understand presentations, watch videos, upload medical information and answer tailored questions
Delivery Management
Enhancing logistical operations, SiteGate can co-ordinate delivery calendars and requests and may be built around site-specific logic such as site opening times and the availability of resources. An invitation is sent and returned with delivery details (detailing, for example, what will be delivered to site and how the equipment is going to be sent). This then feeds into the wider sustainability and carbon reporting, allowing customers to report on progress, receive updates and confirm delivery.
Hardware features
The access control system is 100% wireless, which allows for easy installation and means that this solution can be fitted anywhere there’s power. As stated, this also means that SiteGate can be seamlessly integrated with the SiteNet and SiteProtect ranges of temporary wireless fire detection and alarm systems.
SiteGate turnstiles can be joined together to ensure quicker access for larger volumes of people accessing a site. The solution includes a range of access control interfaces, among them facial recognition, RFID cards or QR readers.
The ‘BullPod’ (an enclosed full height turnstile with roller shutter) can be placed anywhere with power and facilitates both the security and data capture of the site with every turnstile transaction logged and controlled through the software modules.
Bull Products has also introduced the SiteGate time and attendance board for smaller sites, fit-outs and welfare areas, duly allowing these sites and zones to also gather data, such as that focused on carbon footprint reporting.
