30 October 2020

ASTON SERVICES Group (ASG) the newly-appointed security and cleaning services provider for the Edmonton Green Shopping Centre. This flagship development is owned by Crosstree Real Estate Partners and sits inside the M25 zone in North London.

The Shopping Centre is currently undergoing a programme of refurbishment, redevelopment and rebranding as it further cements its place at the heart of the thriving local community.

ASG is a Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor and was awarded the contract, which now becomes the company’s largest single site for service provision, by specialist property management company Ashdown Phillips. It’s no small undertaking as Edmonton Green Shopping Centre boasts over 150 retail units, 1,000-plus car parking spaces, a bustling market square and a mix of retail and departmental stores over 26 acres.

Marie Kyriacou-Edwards, operations manager at the Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, commented: “We like ASG’s empathetic approach and its flexible management and operational teams. The fact that ASG provides both security and cleaning services promotes a ‘joined-up’ way of thinking. The company’s input will be vital in the successful evolution of Edmonton Green Shopping Centre and it’s reinforcement as the hub of the community.”

Alistair Clayton, sales and marketing director at ASG, explained to Security Matters: “We were naturally delighted to be awarded this contract. It’s a pivotal award as we look to further cement our presence in the South East as part of our national organic growth.”

The highly committed team at the Edmonton Green Shopping Centre numbers over 60, with the changes being introduced by ASG proving to be a really good fit with Ashdown Phillips’ own forward-thinking approach to managing the development and providing the very best customer experience possible.

Clayton continued: “We’ve implemented a number of initiatives including new uniforms for the team in line with the Shopping Centre’s rebranding, made a significant six-figure investment in new fit-for-purpose capital equipment, improved electronic patrol systems and incorporated a fresh and much more hands-on approach towards team management as we bring both service lines together under a ‘one team’ ethos and approach.”

James Wheeler, relationship and major business development director at ASG, added: “It’s great to be a part of the regeneration of the Edmonton Green Shopping Centre. The team that has been put together is ideal and will play an important part in the development of the customer experience at Edmonton Green in support of the fantastic work which both Ashdown Phillips and the owners are undertaking in re-invigorating and enhancing its reputation and strength as a community-centric development.”
