Videcon strikes new distribution deal with Comelit’s specialist fire division
25 April 2021
VIDECON HAS signed a new deal to distribute the Comelit Group’s range of EN 45-13 compliant fire detection systems, including all addressable and conventional solutions.

Security systems distributor Videcon has recently introduced a new fire safety offer in response to a growing demand and increasing responsibility for building owners and managers, and businesses in general, to create a fire safe environment.
On that basis, Videcon has now partnered with Comelit to present the latter’s complete portfolio of automatic fire detection systems to its installer customers.
Alan Fowlie, fire system sales director at Videcon, explained: “Growth in the fire protection market has been significant, especially so with the Fire Safety Bill coming into legislation, coupled with the increasingly stringent fire safety regulations, technological advances and product innovations.”
Fowlie added: “As a company that always remains abreast of the latest solutions, we were keen to partner with Comelit as the company is renowned for a proactive approach to future-proof technology, compliance and design. Alongside this, we were impressed by Comelit’s commitment to technical and sales training, allowing professionals to remain up-to-date with performance and specification requirements.”
Comelit’s fire systems portfolio includes control panels, automatic smoke and heat detectors, manual alarm devices, audio and visual indication devices, system accessories (ie electromagnetic stops and power supply units, etc) and a range of wireless devices.
Mandy Bowden, business development manager for Comelit’s fire division, added: “Videcon is a true leader in the security market and now the fast-moving fire market. We’re delighted to partner with the business and work closely, using our ‘in business together’ pledge to ensure that our customers can have access to a portfolio of fire detection products and services designed to achieve the highest safety standards without compromising on the style and aesthetic synonymous with the Comelit brand.”
