Scott Barber appointed to strengthen internal sales team at C-TEC
30 October 2023
FIRE ALARM and call systems developer C-TEC has appointed Scott Barber to the company’s internal sales team. Reporting directly to UK sales manager Brian Foster, Barber will focus on cultivating existing customer relationships, engaging with new clients and providing dedicated support to the manufacturer’s ever-expanding customer base.

With nine years’ worth of experience gained from servicing key accounts and managing prestigious electrical projects including those for Lancaster University, Derby Airport and Voyager Care Homes for Rexel UK Ltd, Barber is ideally qualified for the role of sales support co-ordinator, which will also involve identifying new business opportunities, preparing quotations and delivering presentations.
Commenting on his new appointment with Wigan-based C-TEC, Barber informed Fire Safety Matters: “I’m very excited to be joining C-TEC. I’m already familiar with the company’s products, which is a major advantage. I cannot wait to begin building up relationships with our customers. My experience at Rexel UK Ltd has afforded me a huge insight into the electrical industry and I’m now looking forward to using my skills in my new role.”
Brian Foster responded: “Scott is friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable and boasts excellent people skills. C-TEC has a solid reputation for delivering the highest levels of customer service and I’m fully confident that Scott will be a huge asset to the team.”
C-TEC manufactures myriad life safety systems including commercial and domestic fire alarm systems, call systems, disabled refuge systems and hearing loops. Established in 1981 and now trading in over 70 countries worldwide, the company’s latest innovations include EVAC-ALERT (a BS 8629 evacuation alert system), Hush Pro (itself a BS 5839-6 Grade C domestic fire system), CAST (C-TEC’s powerful own-protocol fire system) and ENVISION, which is a new cloud-based fire alarm remote access, service and site management software package.
