Kentec strengthens product team with Gaurav Arora appointment
27 October 2025
LIFE SAFETY solutions developer Kentec Electronics has appointed Gaurav Arora in the role of general manager for product management and technical support in order to strengthen service, support and training.

Managing end‑to‑end product lifecycles across the Kentec portfolio, Arora will lead market-driven product development and assume responsibility for the product roadmap. Further, Arora will direct technical support, customer training and support escalation, duly turning insights gained in the field into product improvements, added features and new product ideas.
With 20 years’ experience in the fire and security sectors, Arora spent a decade leading commercial and domestic fire detection initiatives involving wireless fire detection and the Internet of Things. He boasts 15 years of product management experience covering portfolio strategy, partner enablement and post‑market support, as well as having spent five years in customer‑facing sales and business development roles.
The appointment comes on the back of a wealth of recent announcements, including a new strategic leadership team at Hochiki Corporation’s International Business Division, led by Kentec’s managing director Kevin Swann, as well as the appointment of Frank Tan to lead business development in the Asia Pacific region.
Building on customer satisfaction
Kevin Mears, global product manager (EN) and part of Kevin Swann’s global strategy team that aligns Hochiki’s product and technology strategies with global market demands, stated: “Gaurav brings deep knowledge of product development, support and training and will be invaluable in building on the customer satisfaction that Kentec is known for across the sector.”
Working out of Kentec’s Dartford headquarters, Gaurav Arora said: “I’ve always collaborated closely with technical teams and I’m excited by the close fit at Kentec between technical support and product management. This enhances quality, speeds product improvements and ensures customer needs are reflected in both a well-defined roadmap and support readiness.”
Arora concluded: “I’m very much looking forward to working alongside a team of hugely talented professionals.”
