FIM Expo heads for Belfast’s Titanic Centre in October
31 August 2021
THE FIRE Industry Association (FIA) is heading for Belfast, with the Fire Industry Manufacturers (FIM) Expo scheduled to take place at The Titanic Centre on Tuesday 19 October. As ever, the event is designed in line with the FIA’s principal objectives and will cover the most pressing subjects of the day impacting the fire industry.

FIM Expo features many of the UK’s leading fire detection and fire alarm system manufacturers and focuses on showcasing the latest products and developments in this sector of the industry. This time around the exhibitors include Advanced, Aico, AllSaved, Apollo Fire Detectors, C-TEC, Drax360, Eaton, Eurotech, Everlux, FFE, FirePro, Global Fire Equipment, Hyfire, Hochiki Europe, Kentec, Nittan UK, Tio Fire Safety, Vimpex and Wagner.
FIM Expo is free-to-attend for delegates and provides an excellent opportunity to be hands-on for product demonstrations, engage in detailed technical discussions with expert solution providers and installers and compare systems.

Industry-leading training
The FIA is taking its “industry-leading training” to Belfast to ensure that fire professionals in Northern Ireland can benefit from being trained by industry recognised and qualified trainers.
The FIA’s new Fundamentals qualification is designed to help practitioners become more competent in line with Dame Judith Hackitt’s recommendations by affording a comprehensive introduction to the fire detection and alarms (FD&A) sector and a core understanding of BS 5839-1.
The FIA will also be providing training on the servicing and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers, while also delivering a refresher course which allows technicians to keep their skills and knowledge updated as per the recommendations laid down in BS 5306.
