One problem often encountered during an emergency or in the provision of access is lift breakdowns. In fire scenarios, lifts are considered unsafe and they often cease to function altogether. How then do you successfully evacuate an electric wheelchair user  on the third floor? The answer is with great difficulty and by putting the PRM and assisting individual at an even greater risk of injury. 

Evaccess provides battery powered equipment, which can be altered for different wheelchair types and the its TRE 70 & 52 can carry individuals in manual or electric powered wheelchairs, while ascending or descending stairs. This then gives the option of independent onward travel.
