IFE launches new members portal

06 November 2017

THE INSTITUTION of Fire Engineers (IFE) has launched a new members’ portal, which provides a self-service system for members to easily access their information as well as renew membership online.

The new portal enhances the existing MyIFE area and includes the additional benefits of being able to pay online for memberships, registrations and other fees as well as providing instant access for members to view and update their information. Members will also be able to amend their contact preferences at the click of a button.

Members have received an email from the IFE detailing information about the portal and a link to a pre-registration page. In order to access the new portal, members will have to set up a new username and password. If you haven’t yet received an email, IFE is encouraging members to check their junk/spam inboxes in case the email has been directed there.

In conjunction with the portal, the IFE Member and Engineering Council Registrant Directory has also been launched. This directory is available to the public and provides real-time evidence of IFE members’ professional status with the IFE. Only details of members who have opted into this service will be displayed on the directory – members can opt in and out of this function by simply visiting the My Preferences page on MyIFE.

An IFE spokesperson said: “These new developments are just the start of an exciting journey for the IFE which will provide a greater member self-service that is feature rich, mobile friendly and completely automated. Phase two will include the development of a number of online membership applications and much more.”
