Fire Safety Matters Podcast - Episode 40
18 November 2024
EPISODE 40 of the Fire Safety Matters Podcast features a trio of exclusive interviews with our guests Warren Spencer (managing director of Blackhurst Budd Solicitors), Craig Wells (sales director at Quelfire, who last appeared as our guest on Episode 35) and Phil Kirkham (engineering manager for applied technology at Elta Fans).

Mark Sennett (CEO of Western Business Media and the founder of Fire Safety Matters magazine) chats with Warren Spencer about the Mock Trial held at Fire Safety Matters Live Manchester, which ran at the Emirates Old Trafford (the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club) in early October.
In conversation with Brian, returning guest Craig Wells from passive fire protection solutions developer Quelfire focuses on the company’s industry campaign entitled ‘Because It’s Your Job To Know’ and Phil Kirkham discusses the importance of smoke ventilation fans in the built environment.
Brian and Mark also analyse the latest industry news. Topics covered include the Government’s cladding remediation programme, Mitie Group plc’s acquisition of Argus Fire, the recent alert issued by Collaborative Reporting for Safer Structures (CROSS-UK) and the Fire and Security Matters Awards 2025.
